IT Support Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support to all Groupe SL customers experiencing difficulties with computer hardware, applications and software. They support users by phone or in person and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate by phone or electronically with computer users experiencing difficulties to identify, document and resolve problems
  • Provide guidance to users in response to problems encountered
  • Provide quality customer service at all times
  • Gather data, organize and maintain written technical documentation of problems and solutions for use by other technical support personnel
  • Ensure the installation, configuration, updating and support of workstations and peripherals
  • Record all actions related to incidents and ensure continuous follow-up with users
  • Travel to customer sites to implement solutions, upgrades or installations
  • Be on the lookout for business opportunities at the customer’s site and transmit them to the management of Groupe SL.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS NEEDED FOR THE POSITION

Education and experience:

  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in a user support service
  • DEP, AEC, DEC or BAC in computer science (Asset).

Technical skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Windows 10/11 operating system
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of Windows Server
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure (router, firewall, DHCP, DNS, VPN)

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support for IT equipment (routers, switches, UPS, printers, servers, workstations, and computer software) and cloud services
  • Provide problem resolution services to network users
  • Maintain the proper functioning and stability of the network at customer premises
  • Ensure quality customer service at all times
  • Perform data backup and recovery operations
  • Produce and maintain written technical documentation
  • Evaluate, recommend and manage equipment purchases for customers

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of the sales team and reporting to the Director of Operations, the Customer Relationship Manager is a post-sales role that maintains relationships with customers. The Customer Relationship Manager has three main objectives: to maintain customer business, develop opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.

The Customer Relationship Manager’s understanding of customer needs allows them to answer questions, solve problems (ideally with custom solutions) and develop a long-term strategic partnership with their clients that goes beyond the initial sale. They will prepare meetings, service offers, proposals and also participate in proposal presentations.

The Customer Relationship Manager will work in collaboration with the Director of Operations and the technical team. They must be proactive, determined, autonomous and enterprising with existing and potential clients. Always focused on the quality of the services offered to the client and their satisfaction, they represent the company and the services offered. Ideally, the candidate is familiar with and has an interest in IT. In summary, the role of the Customer Relationship Manager is to satisfy the customer.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with customers on a regular basis (minimum once a year):
    • Survey customer satisfaction
    • Present a report on infrastructure (in collaboration with the technical team)
    • Propose technological improvements (in collaboration with the technical team)
