Groupe SL x Texo

Your Business Central, in the Hands of Two Microsoft Partners from Quebec

Your implementation is carried out by a single team, formed by Groupe SL and Texo, two Microsoft partners from Quebec. It brings together Dynamics 365 Business Central certified consultants, who have led implementations in finance, distribution, project management and manufacturing, and IT security specialists who make sure, with you or with your IT provider, that your workstations, your access rights and your Microsoft 365 environment are ready so that your ERP goes live in a protected environment. A team large enough to deliver your project and stay close to your users after go-live, in English and French.

Frequently Asked Questions: Business Central Implementation

How much does a Business Central implementation cost?
At Groupe SL, the plans are fixed-fee: $22,000 for financials, $33,000 with distribution, $48,000 with project management, $79,000 with manufacturing. Projects that fall outside these four plans are priced on a custom basis, with the same transparency. As a benchmark, implementations in North America cost from US$25,000 to more than US$250,000 depending on complexity (source: Rand Group, 2026). With a fixed price, you know the amount before you start.
How long does a Business Central implementation take?
From 4 to 16 weeks depending on the modules: 4 weeks for financials, 8 with distribution, 12 with project management, 16 with manufacturing. Integrations with third-party systems and customizations are added to these timelines.
What are the steps of an implementation?
The implementation has six steps: project management, system design, installation, configuration, data migration, then integration and training. You have a project manager from start to finish.
What does the training include?
Training is included in every plan and is built on your own processes, role by role, so that each person learns the screens they will actually use. It is given remotely or at your offices, in groups or one on one, depending on what works for your teams. We agree with you on the format and scope during the design phase.
Is our current data carried over?
Yes. The plans include the conversion of customers, vendors, open balances, the chart of accounts and one year of general ledger. Additional history can be converted as an option.
Can we migrate from Acomba, Sage 50, QuickBooks or Dynamics GP?
Yes. These are the systems our clients most often leave for Business Central. Data conversion is part of the implementation plan.
Can we start with finance and add distribution later?
Yes, the plans build on one another. The Finance and Distribution plan contains everything in the Financials plan. The Project Management and Manufacturing plans contain everything in the Finance and Distribution plan. Starting with finance is often the right decision.
Should we choose Essentials or Premium?
Premium if you manufacture or manage service orders. Otherwise, Essentials covers financial management, supply chain, warehouses, inventory and projects.
Is there a minimum number of users?
Business Central suits companies with about ten users or more. Below that, accounting software often meets the need. We will tell you so frankly.
Is the implementation done remotely or on site?
Both, depending on what best serves your project. Remote work shortens timelines. Design and training at your offices are scheduled when being on site adds more value. We are in Montreal and Quebec City.
What happens after go-live?
Support begins, with the same team. You can keep your current IT provider. If you want, Groupe SL can also take charge of Microsoft 365, security and infrastructure, with one place to go for service, as a single point of service.
Does Business Central also replace our payroll software?
No. Business Central connects to payroll services. We check with you which integrations are available for the service you use.
